The Loud & Proud Choir is an inclusive LGBTQIA+ Choir and Fundraiser. We sing a combination of Musical Theatre & Pop Repertoire. As you may know, our beautiful LGBTQIA+ community is full of people in search of connection – introverts who want to meet similar people, but may not feel safe, understood or welcomed in other more extroverted settings.

There are very few inclusive musical groups in this country. Our mission is to create a safe space and sense of community for the people truly longing for it. It is more than singing; it is the ability to be heard, to take up space, and to step out of your comfort zone with a safe and supportive group. Whether you’re a beginner or a professional, you are so very welcome here! 

YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE EXPERIENCE SINGING. 

YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE ABLE TO READ SHEET MUSIC. 

WE DO NOT REQUIRE AN AUDITION. 

Whether you want to meet people, have a casual hobby, or want to really improve your sight reading, harmonising and musicality – the Loud & Proud Choir will allow you to gain something of value. Music Directors may vary, though they will always be an industry professional. At the end of the term, we’ll celebrate with a concert where all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to an LGBTQIA+ Organisation. 

This is about community and learning to take up space. Our goal is to express, and to get our community comfortable with making some NOISE! We are here, and we deserve to be heard. I believe, with time, you will be able to take this learnt vocal confidence with you anywhere you may go, in any room you may enter. This passion project is so necessary for us all. The power of singing, expression, and community are impactful and healing. So let’s create some joy. Let’s create some noise!!

Pricing

$27.50 per class, 10 week term (total $275 per term)  

Payment for the term can either be made in full or weekly. Invoices cannot be amended depending on your availability. Terms are a 10 week commitment. Drop-in rehearsals, one-offs or trials are not currently available.

• Term 4: October 13th – December 19th 

2026:

• Term 1: January 27th – March 31st
• Term 2: April 21st – June 23rd
• Term 3: July 21st – September 22nd
• Term 4: October 13th – December 15th
