Here at Olivier’s Singing Studio we offer monthly in-person group masterclasses to showcase what you have been learning in your private online lessons. Masterclasses are another chance to work on physicality, and workshopping your singing and performance in front of a small, supportive group of singers. This is perfect for people who are wanting individual vocal and performance feedback, and those who wish to perform but do not feel quite ready for a big audience. All levels are welcome. We have both beginner and professional vocalists attending. We also have two student concerts each year. A mid year and end of year concert to showcase all you have learnt. Concert audiences are larger, though still remain very supportive and friendly.

Stage Presence Coaching

Olivier’s Singing Studio prides themselves on the physicality of performing. Performance isn’t just having a great voice, but also captivating the audience through body language and connection to lyric. Posture, breath, hand gestures, eye-line, a comfortable stance, and calming performance anxiety are all crucial parts of performing and something we here at Olivier’s Singing Studio specialise in. Microphone Technique coaching is also offered in further stages of our students training.

Acting in Song 

An audience’s desire to be moved and an artist’s need to inspire is why connection in song is both thrilling and therapeutic. What is moving is vulnerability and truth. Here at Olivier’s Singing Studio, we nourish authenticity within our students and develop creativity through discovering not only WHAT you’re saying. but HOW you say it and WHERE it is coming from. We teach students how to recall on personal experiences in order to seek out truth and focus within song, whilst also doing a lyrical breakdown of the repertoire. An audience will always choose a less experienced vocalist who means every word they are saying, over a phenomenal vocalist who is not connecting. Here at the studio, we believe in having both.
