Thank you for being a part of Olivier’s Singing Studio! By engaging at our studio with Olivier, we thank you for adhering to the following terms, conditions, policies and procedures.  

General Policies & Procedures

In Studio Lessons 

Students are encouraged to arrive 5-10 mins early in order to be relaxed and prepared for their lesson. Please bring water and either printed lyrics/sheet music or a device for lyrics if needed. 

Online Lessons & Classes

Please join your lesson on time. If students arrive late, we will not be extending session times. 

Behaviour & Conduct 

We expect students, guardians, patrons and staff to treat our teachers, staff members present and future, and other students, with respect and kindness. We do not tolerate poor behaviour in studio, online or on any of our teaching and learning platforms, including all social media channels. Failure to adhere to this will result in enrolment and services being terminated.

Inclusivity Policy 

Olivier’s Singing Studio ensures to have a caring, supportive and safe environment. We have a very strict NO discrimination, violence or bullying policy. We service and encourage diverse students of different abilities, cultural backgrounds, religions, nationalities, language, sexual orientations and gender identifies. Everyone is welcome at Olivier’s Singing Studio! 

We require all students, patrons and staff to maintain respectful behaviour. We have the right to withhold our services if deemed necessary for the mental and physical safety of all students and staff. 

Disengagement 

If a student shows consistent disengagement or fails to show up regularly, we will assess future lesson suitability with our teachers and may recommend alternative studios.  

Video Recording During Lessons 

Video/sound recording during the lessons for the purpose of personal study (and not for online publishing) is permitted after a teacher is advised. Please do not record your lesson without permission from your teacher. 

Child Safety Policy 

All current and future teachers are required to hold a current ‘Working With Children Check’, verified by the NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian. Our studio adheres to the state guidelines, policies and principles on child safety in accordance with the NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian. We have a specific child-safe policy in place and welcome parents/guardians to read this policy. The principles are as follows: 

* Principle 1: The organisation focuses on what is best for children

* Principle 2: All children are respected and treated fairly 

* Principle 3: Children’s families and communities are welcome and encouraged to participate in the organisation 

* Principle 4: Children receive services from skilled and caring adults 

Covid-19 Procedures

All lessons and bookings are subject to our CovidSafe procedures. If students wish to attend In Studio vocal lessons, the following must be adhered to: 

* If you show any cold/flu-like symptoms, feel unwell or are unsure, please advise us and do not come to the studio. We may switch your lessons online until you feel and appear well. 

* Only 1 student is allowed inside the studio at a time 

* Please do not sing directly in front of your teacher; instead, sing towards the wall or door

* Wash hands and sanitise prior to all lessons 

* Adhere to the strict hygiene and routine cleaning/sanitisation after each lesson 

We thank all of our students, guardians and community for your support and cooperation during this time as we make your lessons as safe and enjoyable as possible. 

Travel to the Studio 

If students are allowed to travel alone to their lessons (such as from school), please advise us of this in writing. In typical circumstances and for very long students, parents are required to drop off and pick up their child as close to their lesson/class time as possible. Teachers are busy while teaching and therefore cannot always watch over waiting students. Olivier’s Singing Studio is not responsible for children outside or their lesson hours. 

Service Conditions & Cancellations 

Class Bookings 

* There is a 72 hour notice period for new bookings 

* You will be required to choose a day and time for ongoing lessons/all package lessons at the time of your booking

* All bookings are considered ‘pending’ until approved – you will receive an email confirmation once your booking is approved

* A minimum of 24 hours is required for rescheduling. Rescheduling after this period is not available and classes are non-refundable 

* Make-up lessons must be taken within 2 weeks of the original appointment

* If you arrive late for your class, we are unable to extend your class or reduce the cost of your class to make up for this 

* We have a strict no refunds policy 

Teacher Cancellations 

* A minimum of 24 hours is required for cancelling. After this period, cancellations are not available and classes are non-refundable

* In the case that a lesson is cancelled by a teacher, a make-up lesson will be organised at an appropriate time unless otherwise advised

Illness 

Where a student is unwell, please advise us by email at ‘olivierssingingstudio@gmail.com’. Our cancellation conditions apply however, teacher discretion and schedule availability will be considered to ascertain whether a make-up lesson can be arranged/rescheduled. 

Payments & Fee Inclusions 

Payment Options 

There are two payment options available to students: 

1. Cash

2. Direct Debit (preferred)

Direct Debit Payments 

For those who wish to pay via direct debit, weekly and fortnightly debits are available with a fee of $1.50 per debit. 

Direct debits will remain active until cancelled. To cancel direct debit payments, please do so in writing by emailing ‘olivierssingingstudio@gmail.com’ and allow a minimum of 3 business days before your next billing date. 

Opening Hours & Holidays 

Regular Opening Hours

Olivier’s Singing Studio runs on a school term basis and maintains the following regular opening hours. 

Monday: Closed 

Tuesday: 1:00pm – 9:00pm 

Wednesday: 1:00pm – 9:00pm 

Thursday: 1:00pm – 9:00pm  

Friday: 10:00am – 5:00pm 

Saturday: 10:00am – 5:00pm 

Sunday: Closed

School Holidays

Students have the option to take school holidays off or continue through the school holidays. If Olivier is away for the school holidays or on break for industry reasons, student classes will be put on hold and payments will be paused. 

Closures

Olivier’s Singing Studio is closed on public holidays and is closed for Christmas shutdown annually from 17 December to 17 January. 

These dates and any ad-hoc closures will be marked on our online booking calendar as unavailable. For lessons which fall on a public holiday or other closure, a make-up lesson will be arranged.
